“Chop Suey” Reached 1 Billion Views On YouTube

System of a Down’s “Chop Suey” reached 1 billion views on YouTube, 11 years after its release. It’s the first metal music video ever to reach 1 billion views. “Chop Suey” was the first single released by the album “Toxicity”, which was released on September 4, 2001, and the music video was released on October 2, 2009. Daron Malakian, the guitarist of the band, had said in an interview with Loudwire that he wrote the song in the band’s RV, unlike he does generally; he thought the song was really good but didn’t expect the dong to become their first hit single.
